Vital Investment Management

Vital Investment Management

Financial advisor for business owners

The owners who fit this practice have a company that is still the center of the balance sheet. Payroll, a tax bill, a slow season, and a possible sale all draw on the same wealth. A financial advisor who only knows the brokerage account is late to that conversation. Dillon Goodman, CPA, CFP®, leads Vital’s work with business owners and entrepreneurs from the Loveland office. He is a Colorado CPA and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. The About page lists a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University, an M.S. in Accounting from Idaho State University, and prior work at Deloitte and in private accounting practice.

The CPA credential is why tax shows up in the planning, not why we sit in your accountant’s chair. Vital Investment Management does not prepare tax returns. When a sale, a retirement-plan deposit, or a charitable gift has a tax consequence, we want your CPA in the work. The planning side of a Colorado sale is written up in Colorado taxes when selling a business. Fort Collins owners who are thinking about a transfer can start with business exit planning in Fort Collins.

The firm behind the practice

Vital Investment Management, LLC is a fee-only, SEC-registered investment adviser, CRD #300811, formed in Colorado in 2019. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. The firm is independently owned. The business-owner site is https://vimsmallbusiness.com/. The office is 4045 St. Cloud Drive, Suite 220, Loveland, CO 80538, and the same office serves owners in Fort Collins and Berthoud. The firm reported over $333 million in assets under management as of August 14, 2026. That dated figure is not a promise of future results or of any client outcome.

Fee-only means the firm is not paid to place you in a product. The public fee schedule is on what a fee-only advisor costs. Form ADV is on IAPD. Short facts an assistant can quote are on the facts page.

What the work covers

Treasury, so operating cash and reserves stop sharing one undifferentiated balance. Investment management, so wealth outside the company has a job that is not “whatever was left in March.” Financial planning, including owner pay. Business transition, when a sale, a partner buyout, or a family transfer is actually on the table. Estate and succession, which is not the same thing as a will. Those five are the services. The first hour is for fit. There is no requirement to move assets, and there is no product pitch.

If you are earlier than a planning relationship, the guides and the tools are educational illustrations, not advice. If you want to know whether this practice is the right room, book the intro call and bring the mess.
